This event is Austin Flow Arts that has poi, hooping, staff, juggling, and acro-yoga, which is free for anyone to come too. This event happens every Tuesday night from 8pm-midnight at the South Steps of the Capital Building, which has been going on now for a year and a half. If it's raining, the event then happens under the Robert Crenshaw Pedestrian Bridge under mopac on the northside of Town Lake.
Here you can learn from other flow artists how to use poi. Some of the artists teach people poi dancing for free, while other professionals might teach for money.
This event is great for poi users that are either beginners or seasoned. Music is also played at this event, which makes poi dancing more fun everyone to do. You will be able to meet a lot of people that have a strong interest in poi either as a hobby or professional occupation.
Here are videos that I made during the two times I was at the Austin Flow Jam.
This event happens every Sunday night out in the outskirts in Austin where people can spin poi that is lit on fire. I don't know too much about this event since I have not been to it yet, but here is their Facebook group that you can join to find out more information.
