Poi is a type of visual flow art form that involves dancing in motion with moving balls on a rope. It can be done in all kinds of ways, with fire or lights.
Poi involves a lot of dancing that is fun to do with music, which is a great way of getting exercise.
Poi is involved with a lot of flow art communities. One can attend events, meet other poi dancers, and advance their moves.
This website about poi is for an assignment for my Web Design & Publishing class that I am currently taking at Texas State University. I decide to do this website assignment over poi since I have just gotten into it. I now have my own poi and have been practicing it since the start of this spring college semester.

This spring semester at Texas State, I was invited to come to a vegan potluck picnic at Sewell Park. At the event, I met a guy who was doing poi and teaching it to other people. He had an extra pair of practice poi, which he let me use while he was teaching. I enjoyed doing it so much that I soon bought my own pair.

Here is a video I made on April 2, 2016 promoting World Autism Awareness Day. I'm doing poi dancing next to a sign I made, which said "Autism Awareness Day, Autism is not retarded" to the song Engelsblut, by Blutengel on The Quad of the Texas State campus. The video has no sound unfortunately since YouTube muted it over copyright issues from the song.
